Life From The Doorstep
by

Around mid March when there were talks of a lockdown, I had an idea to document life during lockdown and said to my wife, “I wanna take photos of people on their doorstep”… we um’d & ah’d and thought it may not be a good idea so left it. About a month after I saw on BBC news ‘Photographer takes photos of people at home during lockdown’ and I kicked myself! I was really gutted that it could have been me on BBC news. Anyway on the 10th May I decided that I’m still going to do it and the lesson it’s taught me is when you have an idea just give it a go you never know. I have now photographed over 30 families.
I am currently not charging for these shoots however, I am trying to raise some money for a family that I came across, who I didn’t know but have since spoken with them and their story really touched me. They have a 4 year old son called Liam and he has high-risk neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. They are raising money to get him to America for treatment. If you can donate or share that would be amazing.
